My favorite floors — Cheng Fei

The 2008 Olympic gold and bronze medalist’s floor routine in Beijing was like “a showpiece for Chinese culture,” NBC commentator Tim Daggett said.

My Chinese friend Jaz: “Well…maybe a showpiece for Chinese opera.”

Indeed. I didn’t mean to insinuate that she was the bronze medalist on floor. Sorry for the confusion!

I actually like the one from the prelims better because that one had full difficulty. Regardless, Cheng Fei’s my favorite.

Oh that is one of my favourite routines ever 🙂

  4. Jaz Says:

Did I say that? Probably – heh, I don’t remember. But yes, it’s def a showcase for Chinese opera imo. Not that it’s a bad thing…

The new choreography she has for the 2009 code is pretty stupid though. She uses the same music, but just doesn’t do any of the choreography in this. Boo.

Hopefully the bad choreography is just for the watered down version she uses for exhibitions.
