Memmel will get new floor for 2008

Chellsie MemmelDespite her floor victory at the Toyota Cup earlier this month, 2005 World Champion Chellsie Memmel told that she is planning to change her floor routine again at the beginning of 2008.

“…it didn’t get the kind of reaction that we wanted. We’ve talked with Antonia [Markova], the national team choreographer and with Martha — Antonia has a few things in mind for the music so I’ll probably get it done at the January camp.

“I’ll probably go back to something more powerful, like my old style. That worked well for me.”

This news will likely come as a relief to Memmel fans, who may have been chagrined by the “I Love Rock and Roll” routine she debuted at the “Good Luck Beijing” International Invitational a few weeks ago.
