UCLA’s Anna Li, who was fourth at the 2007 NCAA Championships as a freshman, appears to be gaining momentum in her sophomore season. She’s already taken home three all-around titles this year.
Undoubtedly part of the reason is this floor routine, one of the classiest in the NCAA right now — perhaps ever.

Good friend Jaz, who was in Seattle to watch UCLA as they competed against the University of Washington tonight, was thrilled with its elegance. She’s dying to know what the music is.
I can see why. Li’s 2007 edition has some similar choreography, but what makes the above routine exceptional, as with all great floor exercises, is the combination of music and dance.

so i just realized, she actually upgraded her first tumbling pass tonight to a double layout. not sure if she changed the other passes…she changed a bit of her choreography after the first tumbling pass too..
you know, having watched the 2007 routine a second time i have to say that the choreography is actually less similar than i thought. yeah she has some moves that she puts in every one but then again, a lot of gymnasts with signature moves do. makes them interesting to watch i guess…still….love her routine…

That sounds like the same music Katie Lieberman from Michigan used last year. Is Michigan’s 2007 media guide online, and do they list the team’s music (I know some media guides have that, but UCLA’s doesn’t)?

I was just about to post what Chuck said! Katie Lieberman used it following “Shine” by Bond. I do believe the song Anna used is by Bond as well.

Hmmm….I’m almost certain it’s not Bond, only because I have all their cds and listen to it frequently enough but I don’t recognize this piece of music at all. I think this is going to kill me until it’s identified…

i belive it is innocent by bond.
